Vibrant colours and Balmain {2017 collection}
Balmain definitely retained the glitz and glamour in its 2017 collection but this time added colour pops and style to regular fashion items.
The style: The line up was mostly kaftans, crop tops, cold shoulders, mohair knit, suede miniskirts, extremely long suede or snakeskin legging boots, tie-dye tees and dresses. These fashion items may seem normal but they were well transformed by creative director Olivier Rousteing to glamorous outfits. Surprisingly most of the outfits were modest but managed not to lose the racy and egdy look Rousteing conveys in his collections. The outfits were designed with gold chains, beadings, wolf-pack motif.
The Colour: If you have seen the line up, the first thing you notice is the jazziness of the colours! The line up had shades of orange, black, brown, and gold. Whatever the inspiration for these were, we are loving it!
Rousteing is a talented designer but that may not be what is keeping him ahead of the game. From this collection, its his ability to make the ordinary extraordinary and transform normal fashion items into glamorous and popping fashion statements!
